Program Fee

January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008

$1950.00* (U.S. Dollars)

 

 

 

The Int'l Internship & Volunteer Network Program Fee is calculated to provide participants with the highest level of quality and service, and is subject to change at the discretion of IIVN.  (The Program Fee noted above includes the Application Fee of $175 USD.)

 

IIVN Programs include the following:

 

  • “IIVN Commitment” to ensuring that every participant is 100% satisfied with every aspect of their program!  The highest level of personal attention and service is provided to each participant, prior to and throughout their program duration.

  • Accommodations:

    • Internship Programs – although housing is not included in our internship programs, we will be happy to provide you with resources and recommendations for options that are affordable, safe and in an area convenient to your placement location. 
    • Volunteer Programs – all housing is included throughout the duration of our volunteer programs and may include one or a combination of the following; home stay, volunteer house and community living.  Housing options will vary based on country and project selected.

 

  • Meals:

    • Internship Programs – Internship participants will be on their own for all meals.

    • Volunteer Programs – The majority of meals are included throughout the duration of our volunteer programs.  Participants may enjoy traditional meals prepared by host families, project staff, or on a rotating basis by the participants themselves.

 

  • Ground Transportation: 
    • Internship Programs – We are pleased to provide all participants with transportation to/from the airport of the host country to their housing location.

 

    • Volunteer Programs – Ground transportation will be provided to/from the airport, to/from project sights/housing and to all planned sightseeing & social activities.  Participants will be on own for any transportation outside of those noted. 

 

  • Arrival Orientation:

    • Internship & Volunteer Programs – An Arrival Orientation will be conducted to ensure a smooth transition and will vary based on country selected.  Orientation may include language instruction, an introduction to the host countries culture and customs and other important information.

 

  • Holiday Week:

    • Internship Programs – Not Applicable.  Participants in an internship program must be mature, resourceful individuals who are not looking for, nor expecting to have, social/sightseeing activities planned for them.

    • Volunteer Programs – Each program includes a full week of rest and relaxation where you will have an opportunity to reflect on your project experience and further enjoy the many unique sights your selected country has to offer, including organized sightseeing & planned social activities.

  • Preferred Placement Matching – ensures each IIVN participant is given placement riority over other programs participants.

  • Customized and Professional Program Development - taking into consideration each participant's personal goals, experience and qualifications, in addition to the Host Employer/Association needs.  
  • Confirmed Program Placement - prior to departure.  

 

  • Pre-Departure Materials - including detailed Participant Handbook outlining important Int’l Travel & Program Information.

      

  • Project Training & Materials – While experience is always helpful, it is not necessary to participate in one of our programs.  We are happy to provide you with all of the training and materials necessary to ensure successful completion of your assigned project tasks.

  • “Academic Credit” (where applicable) & “Certificate of Completion”.

  • 24/7 Program Supervision, Emergency Service and Participant Support - to ensure all of your needs are met.

  • Professional Guidance - in securing proper Passport & Visa and/or other required travel documents, in addition to guidance on securing Int’l Travel /Medical Insurance.  

  

GYO Programs DO NOT include: 

·         Round-Trip Airfare & Airport Taxes

·         Passport/Visa Fees or Other Necessary Legal Work/Travel Documents

·         Travel/Medical Insurance

·         Personal Expenses

·         Immunization Fees (as applicable) 

·         Internship Programs do not include Housing, Meals or Transportation to/from the placement site.

*Note:  Within three (3) calendar days following receipt of a Program Acceptance Letter, an Application Fee of $175 USD must be submitted.  No action will be taken to further process a Program Application until this fee is confirmed.  The Application Fee will be deducted from the Total Program Fee due and is non-refundable. 

Within ten (10) calendar days following submission of the required "Application Fee", you must submit the Total Program Fee (less Application Fee) and a  "Participant Agreement", www.globalyouthopportunity.com/participantagreement.html.

 

* In the event Total Program Fee and/or Participant Agreement are not received within ten (10) days following the noted due date, applicant may forfeit their program participation.
